An overview of the process for entrants

  1. Submit your image(s) via the online entry platform, managed by the team at Photo Competitions.
  2. Every entry will be reviewed by three experienced photo reviewers scoring photos in six scoring criteria (see Review and Scoring section below for full details).
  3. The scores from the review process then inform the four Category Shortlists, which combine to make up the People’s Choice Voting Pool. The People’s Choice Voting Pool goes to a public vote on the Rainforest Rescue Facebook to decide the People’s Choice winner, while the four Category shortlists are sent to the Judging Panel for final and independent adjudication of major prizes.
  4. Winners are announced.
  5. Scores are returned to entrants in a Report Card at the end of the competition.

It’s important to know what you’re signing up for, so check out the full Terms and Conditions here.

Review and Scoring

The online entry platform is being managed by the team at Photo Competitions, and at the heart of their system is a process that provides a return to all entrants in the form of a Report Card for every entrant.

Every entry will be reviewed by three experienced photo reviewers scoring photos in six scoring criteria:

  • Impact and Mood
  • Technique
  • Composition
  • Subject
  • Story-telling
  • Innovation & Originality

The scores from this review then inform the Shortlists which are sent to the Judging Panel for final independent adjudication. Scores are returned to entrants in a Report Card at the end of the competition.

Terms and Conditions

It’s important to know what you’re signing up for, so check out the full Terms and Conditions here. Got questions? Check out the FAQ’s page. You can be assured the organisers respect the rights of photographers, and the entrant’s photographs will only be used in conjunction with the competition.

Enter ANY photo, of ANY rainforest, taken at ANY time.
