Rainforests contain more species of plants and animals than any other ecosystem. Sadly, 75% of Australia’s rainforests have been cleared for agriculture and development. Planting rainforest trees will help to restore these rainforests and protect the many threatened species of plants and animals that live there.
Rainforest Rescue’s Plant a Rainforest Project helps to restore areas of rainforest within the Daintree Rainforest of Far North Queensland — Australia’s largest and most biodiverse rainforest, and the oldest continuously evolving rainforest on the planet.
Partnering with local communities, we plant over 150 different rainforest tree species. $10 helps to grow, plant & maintain one native rainforest tree for one year, helping to provide vital habitat for the unique flora and fauna that call the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest home.
Your support will help us to restore the lowland Daintree Rainforest, protect and create wildlife corridors, and provide food plants for the endangered Cassowary and the array of species that call the Daintree Rainforest home.
