Huhtamaki Australia are major sponsors of Rainforest Rescue's Daintree Buy Back and Protect Forever Project. 
Huhtamaki sponsored Rainforest Rescue with an initial contribution of $25,000 in 2007. Since then, Huhtamaki and BioWare have helped Rainforest Rescue purchase and protect four properties in the Daintree and contributed over $85,000 to the Daintree Buyback & Protect Forever Project. Huhtamaki are providing a percentage of sales from their Chinet BioWare range to the project. The range is available in leading supermarkets nationally.
Huhtamaki is a global food packaging company operating in 35 countries worldwide with eight plants spread across the states of Australia. Huhtamaki produce the BioWare range of products. BioWare is a range of single-use packaging, cold drink cups, plates, containers and cutlery, all based on renewable plant materials and compostable after use. The products are made from sustainable renewable products such as corn and recycled paper.
