Rainforest Rescue's Other Projects
Big Scrub Restoration
The Big Scrub was once the largest expanse of subtropical rainforest in Australia. Today less than 1 percent remains as fragmented remnants scattered across 75,000 hectares between the towns of Byron Bay, Ballina and Lismore.
Richmond Birdwing Butterfly
Rainforest Rescue is committed to the recovery of this important sub-tropical rainforest species through the planting of Birdwing Vines within South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
Rainforest Research
Rainforest Research Projects activate vital research for Australia's precious rainforests, and highlights their intrinsic complexity, beauty and mystery.
Carbon Conservation
Destruction and burning of tropical rainforest releases carbon stored in trees and other plants into the atmosphere. This release of carbon contributes to the world's annual greenhouse gas emissions and Climate Change.
