The 6th protected property was protected in November 2006. Rainforest Rescue, the Daintree Rainforest Foundation and the Douglas Shire Council contributed to the purchase of this property. It contains the only known location of a previously thought extinct species of fern and has been protected forever by being incorporated into the Daintree National Park. The exact location of this property has been kept secret due to the sensitivity of this last population of the fern.
