Rainfreost Rescue Help us Savet the Daintree Rainforest

Latest Daintree Update – June 2008

Rainforest Rescue documented four clearings in the Daintree in April and May 2008. The pictures tell the story – development is proceeding in the Daintree threatening the endangered Cassowary.

Daintree Update - November 2007

In late November Kelvin Davies, Rainforest Rescue's Executive Officer visited the Daintree and was again shocked by the scene of further destruction of this World Heritage value rainforest. These pictures from the Cow Bay area of the Daintree tell the story - rural residential development is continuing to destroy the Daintree.

This clearing for a house site is in the same road as five of the properties purchased with the assistance of the Daintree Buy Back and Protect Forever Project. And further development is expected with another development application notice on display at the adjoining property
