artists:
Ganga Giri:
Ganga Giri mixes red natural elements with fat tribal beats and dirty funky bass lines to create a unique tribal-technological deep earth dance experience.
Deeply inspired by the sacredness of Australia’s land and how that feeling can be expressed through the didjeridu, their shows represent key elements and inspirations of Australia.
Snog:
David Thrussell has gained an international cult reputation for innovation in electronic/cinematic/sound-scapes. David has had numerous film placements both in Australia and internationally.
Further projects included a remix of U.K techno legend Aphex Twin, an album of spoken word/soundscape material and a number of major feature film scores. Above and beyond all that though, he is just a swell chap!
Spoonbill:
What started as a love of the drums progre
ssively shifted to percussion, and finally settled into a love of electronic production. He has won a wide range of audio production awards, and in 2008 Spoonbill, through his own label; Omelette Records launched its inaugural VA compilation of downtempo groove electronica from across the globe.
Pitch Black:
Pitch Black are award winning multimedia artist Michael Hodgson and Salmonella Dub producer Paddy Free.
Hard to box into a single audio ‘genre’, Pitch Black is a combination of musical journeys. One critic has described them as like “Orbital meets King Tubby.
Their music has been used in fashion shows, computer games, TV shows such as True Blood and CSI plus many films.
Benza:
The incredibly funky psychedelic electronic music of Ben Rynderman has been making
groundbreaking electronic music since 1997. His background in Jazz, Funk, R&B and Rock have enabled him a unique sound, maintaining critical elements of melody and form, while providing ultra-butt-shaking grooves.
Tom Ellard:
Tom draws upon 30 years experience in many variants of digital media production from music, live and installation video. He insists that most media is ‘music’, and is most well known as the founding member of the electronic and industrial music group Severed Heads, Ellard’s early work was performed with tape machines, tape loops and basic analogue equipment.
