Give Dad A Rainforest This Father’s Day

August 14th, 2007

All you need do for your dad this Father’s Day is to give him a card, but make it a special one! Rainforest Rescue has special gift cards, which save rainforests or plant trees and ‘the more you spend the more you save’!

For only $20, ten square metres of Daintree rainforest in far north Queensland can be bought and saved from development, or for $50, two rainforest trees can be planted on behalf of your Dad.

“We have cards to suit everyone’s budget, and they’re a great, simple way of saying thanks Dad in a meaningful way,” says Kelvin Davies of Rainforest Rescue.

The gift cards carry a simple message saying you have bought a gift of square metres of the Daintree Rainforest to be protected, or that trees will be planted on his behalf.

“Being green is what most people want to do and the gift cards are a perfect way to make a worthwhile contribution which adds up. So far we have saved 200,000 square metres by buying and protecting nine properties in the Daintree rainforest and we’ve planted over 100,000 rainforest trees. With your support we’ll achieve even more” says Kelvin.

If you are feeling Dad deserves his own rainforest, a $1,000 gift card means 500 square metres can be saved or 100 more rainforest trees can be planted on his behalf!

Rainforest Rescue Gift Cards starting at $20 can be bought online at www.rainforestrescue.org.au or phone 1300 763 611
