Daintree, 7th and 8th properties saved.
May 26th, 2005I am extremely pleased to anounce that another milestone has been reached in the Daintree Buy Back and Protect Forever Project. Two properties in the Forest Creek area (immediately north of the Daintree River) have been purchased and gazetted as the Rainforest Rescue Nature Refuge. The Rainforest Rescue Nature Refuge protects a valuable wildlife corridor and known populations of one endangered, three vulnerable and 11 rare plants, including species found only in the Daintree.
