Madeleine Faught MSocSc – Chair/Director

Madeleine FaughtMadeleine is a consultant social ecologist. She has a long history of securing enhanced outcomes in community, cultural, and environmental spheres. Her focus is on building resilience in the link between social and ecological systems as a means toward greater sustainability and improved environmental outcomes.

Kelvin Davies - Director/Executive Officer

Kelvin is a co-founder of Rainforest Rescue and has been actively involved in rainforest conservation organisations since 1990.

He has previously been employed with not-for-profit organisations involved in nature conservation including Conservation Volunteers Australia, Greening Australia, Wetland Care Australia and The Wilderness Society.

Kathryn Biggs BA, BEc - Director

Kathryn BiggsKathryn works with the Queensland Criminal Justice Commission as Commissioner of Police Service Reviews.

Kathryn was for twenty years a proprietor and director of Worldcare Assist, an international assistance company. Kathryn is a co-founder of Rainforest Rescue, has created her own rainforest garden and is committed to rainforest restoration.

Emily MacDonald - Director

Emily has recently returned to Melbourne from Manhattan, New York, having traded the position of Executive Director for the African Rainforest Conservancy, for motherhood. She has been actively involved in fundraising and event management for the past 15 years working with both commercial and not-for-profit organisations.

Tim Poole - Director

Tim Poole - Rainforest Rescue DirectorTim is a qualified Accountant with over 35 years experience in business and finance covering a broad range of industries in London, Sydney and now in the Northern Rivers of NSW.
Involved locally with Landcare, Byron Shires Biodiversity and Land for Wildlife projects, he is currently regenerating a small area of subtropical rainforest to ensure the long term protection of the habitat.

Tony Gilding - Director

Tony Gilding - Rainforest Rescue DirectorTony spent 15 years as General Manager and later CEO of Skansen Holdings Ltd, Australia's largest gift company which listed on the ASX in 1993. Since then he has campaigned actively on social issues including an active involvement in the Palm Oil Action Group. He was Vice President of the Australian Orangutan Project for 8 years and is a founding member of the UN sponsored Great Ape Survival Project. He was for 10 years a non-executive director of Ecos Corporation a highly regarded consultancy that advises global corporations on Sustainability strategy. Tony now lives in Byron Bay where he and Rie operate The Macadamia Castle a local tourist icon.
