About Rainforest Rescue

Rainforest Rescue is a not for profit organisation committed to saving our rainforests for current and future generations. Rainforest Rescue creates opportunities for individuals, families, philanthropists and philanthropic trusts, businesses and corporations to finance successful projects that protect and restore our dwindling rainforests.

Projects involve rainforest restoration, research aimed at improving rainforest restoration and conservation, the property purchase and protection.

Rainforest Rescue is registered with the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) as an Australian Company Limited by Guarantee. An independent Australian government body, ASIC reports directly to the Australian Commonwealth Parliament, the Treasurer and the Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer.

The Rainforest Rescue constitution, approved by ASIC, determines our purpose and our activities. Rescue is managed by a board of directors who contribute their service on a voluntary basis. We have responsibility have our finances audited annually and to submit a detailed report to ASIC.

Rainforest Rescue’s Misson: To save our rainforests for current and future generations.

Staff: We currently have three full time staff, several part time staff and the support of many volunteers.

Publications: The Rainforest Rescue hardcopy newsletter is published twice a year and is made available to supporters. Our email newsletter is issued monthly.

Funding: Rainforest Rescue is supported by donations from individuals, philanthropists, business sponsorship and foundation grants. We do not receive government funding.

Our auditors are Wappetts and Partners, Chartered Accountants.

Accounting and Bookkeeping services are provided free of charge by Environmental Training and Employment (Envite). We thank EnviTE for this extremely valuable service.

Our Secretary in provided by RTB Holdings, located in Toowong, Brisbane. We thank RTB Holdings for this valuable service, which is provided to Rainforest Rescue free of charge.

Our desktop Publishing,  including our hardcopy newsletter is provided free of charge by GeoLink. We thank them for their generous support and professional service.
